Your Port of Entry Into

The Body of References to the Literature on

the Behavioral and Medical Effects of Stress

and to the Texts and Workshops Developed by

The Designed Change Institute

Thanks to a federally funded grant, we have the only extensive bibliography of studies on the Behavioral and Medical Effects of Stress. We are eager to make this material available to the world, so what better way than through the internet.

In addition, we have been in business for a quarter of a century and have developed workshops and have published texts. As quickly as we are able, we are putting them out on the net. We also have some new material, much of it looking for a publisher. Use it as you will, and help us get it out to the world.

Texts

We have texts and workshops in personal development. This material is the same, whether you are using it for "personal growth", "life enrichment" or "career development". It centers around self esteem and self confidence. It is always a "how to" and a do it yourself approach.

Texts for Personal Development

Our materials on interpersonal relations, whether personal or business, are exceptional. We do this work in groups and sometimes with a coach or counselor. We are having a great difficulty writing this material so that you can do it with a friend, or with someone with whom you are relating at work or elsewhere.
Texts for Developing Relationships

Although we have done work with unusual organizations, such as communes. We present consensus and participatory methods of decision making. One gift that we have for management is that we offer our work in complex technology and aerospace, and our work under high stress for such as physicians and police in business and industry settings. Essentially, we focus on the performance shaping factors and the feelings, stress and emotions which drive them. These are forces which cause people to do things they would not intend, resulting in errors and poor performance.

This is our annotated reference texts. We have shamelessly included a great deal of the Designed Change Process because it is so unknown, and it is an effective way to teach it.
